Hi. I'm Luke. I was born and raised in the (mystical?) land of North Carolina - a place that never really leaves me, no matter how far I roam. Between having my adolescent years practically narrated by the likes of Jon Foreman, Billy Joel, and James Taylor, and being awestruck by my grandfather's passion for passing on the gift of song, this whole "music" thing really caught me by surprise all those years ago. Who knew a carved piece of wood with some metal strings thrown on it would change so much? I certainly didn't. And somehow, maybe the surprise makes it all the better in the end.
Music has always been incredibly important to me. I have a not-so-small hunch that it might be for you as well. The first time I heard "Jump" by Van Halen was just...different. The first time I saw my grandfather play every single note of a Doc Watson tune was a moment that still plays on repeat in my head. There is something truly wonderful about this language of song that we all share, because we all have something to sing about inside of us. I think it's one of those things that proves we are all much more alike than we are different.
I hope that somehow, the music I make and the stories I tell can help you along on your journey - whatever your path might be. I've always believed that stories matter. Maybe more than we could ever imagine.
